Please join us on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm for Walt Whitman’s Unity in Diversity International Food Marketplace, Runway & Talent Show!
 
Sign up to host your own “booth” with food or snack samples from all over the world — it can represent your family’s culture or just be something you love!  Food can be store bought or homemade but must display ingredients.  When signing up, please note the name of your food contribution and country it represents.  Fashion Runway & Cultural Talent Show – Sign Up Form Here

Prepare for an exciting evening where our young fashionistas will strut their stuff on the International Fashion Runway, showcasing traditional attire from around the world! From vibrant costumes to elegant dresses, participants can represent their culture or any culture they admire. We also invite students to shine in our Cultural Talent Show. Whether they sing,dance, or recite poetry from around the world, this is their opportunity to take the stage!

The Holiday Boutique will be held on December 3, 2024

and for those absent or missing money we will have time the morning of December 4th.

Our children will come in and shop for small gifts for everyone on their list. There is always something for everyone (Grandparents, Parent, Aunts, Uncles, Children and more)

with items ranging in price from $1.00 to $12.00.  

Walt Whitman Towels will be for sale as well!

You should have received a “budget envelope” this past week that you and your child can use to decide how much can be spent on each gift.  

Please have your child bring the envelope on the day of the book fair.

Cash, Checks (made out to the Walt Whitman PTA ) or

(Credit Cards Accepted – for teacher or parents that are volunteering)

PTA Meeting

Join us for our 1st PTA meeting of the year!

Please join us for our next PTA meeting on September 5th at 7:30pm at the Walt Whitman Elementary School.  In order to accommodate for all our amazing parents we will be having a rotating schedule of day time and evening meetings.

For those that are new to Walt Whitman our meetings serve as a great place to get updates, help advocate for our school, and not to mention, Mr. Snyder is always here to answer our questions and concerns!!

Please note if you have anything specific that you would like answered during the meeting, we ask that you send us an email in advance by 5pm Wednesday,  September 4th, to presidents@waltwhitmanpta.org. This helps ensure our meeting will proceed smoothly and any information needed in advance is available to help answer your questions or concerns.  

Please see the agenda, the previous meeting minutes to be adopted and 2024-25 Budget for your review by the clicking the links.  

As with any meeting it is important to continue to exercise respect and civility.  A gentle reminder that absolutely no individual teachers, staff, parents or children’s names can be mentioned during our meeting. Individual conversations should take place with the teacher or principal in a one on one format.

at the Walt Whitman Elementary School Primary Grades Playground

We would like to invite all our incoming kindergarteners to come and play. This is a great chance for your children to meet new friends and become acquainted with each other in a causal, no-pressure setting before the 1st days of school. You may also get to hang out other parents and Mr. Snyder, our principal.

We hope to see you at the play date and look forward to meeting you and your children. If you have any questions over the summer feel free to reach out to us at any time.

Field Day 2024 will be Tuesday, June 11th, (rain date 6/14) and it will be including lunch! Please fill out this form to place your child’s food order.  Please note due to allergy safety concerns, you must fill out this form for your child to receive food. All orders must be received by May 28th.
