Fifth Grade Yearbook – Photo Submission
Dear Parents, We are excited to announce that production on the yearbook for the Walt Whitman Class of 2020 has begun, and we need YOUR help to fill the pages with beautiful pictures of our children throughout the years!
We ask that you kindly submit your photos by Thursday, October 31st.PHOTOS NEEDED 1. “Baby Faces” Please submit a picture of your 5th grader at 2-3 years of age to be included in our Baby Faces section. 2. Candid shots Please submit up to 15 photos, spanning your children’s WW years. Solo shots are good; group shots are GREAT (fellow 5th graders only please)! Examples include pictures from class trips, class parties, field day, PTA events like the Fall Festival, Fun Fair, etc. (Important: Please understand that all candid photos can only be photos taken on Walt Whitman School grounds and/or at PTA-sponsored events. No photos from private birthday parties, sleepovers, etc. can be accepted) 3. “Strike a Pose” photo Please take a fun, spirited picture of your 5th grader. They can be featured with any items or clothing that are special to them, i.e. holding a basketball, wearing their uniform while they’re on the field, a shot from dance in their dance outfit, etc. Please make sure their face is straight on to the camera so that they are easily recognizable.
PHOTO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS · Images must be in .JPG format and HIGH RESOLUTION in order for the yearbook software program to accept them. · Please make sure you upload ORIGINAL PHOTOS, (i.e. Please do not download photos from iPhoto, Shutterfly, Facebook, SnapChat, Instagram, etc… as they will be compressed and not have the required resolution level. · Please name each photo with your child’s first and last name as well as a simple description of the photo (e.g. Ali Kessman – Baby Photo, or Eva Skidan – Fun Fair) · The file name must not exceed 25 characters or include special characters. · Please upload photos to https://www.dropbox.com/request/Q4xNN4atmamKIIBXpeCJ
** Please note that not every picture will be used in the yearbook. We are limited in space by a set number of pages. We will strive to feature all students in a comparable number of pictures. **
The process of going through all of your old photos and selecting your favorites for the yearbook can take some time so please don’t save this for the last minute! Please note that you do not need to submit all of your photos at the same time. You can submit photos in batches between now and October 31st.
