Class parents will play an important role in our children’s school experience. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise between the parents in your class and your child’s teacher. You will also keep the other parents from your child’s class informed of PTA events and volunteer opportunities.

Welcome back to all of our returning Walt Whitman Families! We hope you all had a wonderful summer that was relaxing and recharging. We are so excited for an amazing school year.

Help support the Walt Whitman Elementary by a Discount Card. Open to Everyone! You do not need to be a Walt Whitman Family to purchase a card.
It’s a wallet sized card with 22 local vendors offering discounts to any cardholder. The card is valid 1 year (from September 1, 2023 till August 31, 2024).
Please join us for the Welcome Back Picnic this year on Friday, September 8th from 5pm – 7pm
on the Walt Whitman Elementary School Field.
This year our Newcomer’s Social for incoming kindergarten parents and all over new Whitman families will be generously hosted by the Sondhi Family. This is a great opportunity for incoming kindergarten parents and all those new to Walt Whitman to mingle with other new parents.

| Join us this Wednesday June 7th at 7:30pm for our LAST PTA Meeting of the year! We have a great meeting planned! We will share some final updates, approve our last budget & conduct a vote of confidence on our summer budget so that we can start planning a VERY exciting return to school. Then, we will welcome our new executive board with an installation and wrap up with our PTA Awards. After the awards, please join us at MOCA Asian Bistro for some fun! Please note: As with any meeting it is important to continue to exercise respect and civility. A gentle reminder that absolutely no individual teachers, staff, parents or children’s names can be mentioned during our meeting.
