We are now forming PTA committees for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our children’s lives and to be involved in your school community.
We have over 50 committees/chairpersons positions available for you to choose from. Attached you will find a short description of each committee. PLEASE GIVE THIS SOME THOUGHT AS YOU ARE THE FUTURE OF OUR PTA! Click here for the list of committees.
Each committee chairperson will meet with the co-presidents & VP to plan for the year and create a brief outline of the committee’s purpose with all pertinent details. Each committee chairperson will also have to provide the co-presidents and recording secretary with a written overview 10 days prior to any PTA meeting in which a verbal report is needed.
Some committees require an actual committee whereas others will require parent participation on the day of the event. A signup sheet for each event requiring parents’ participation will be presented at PTA meetings which will be added to the Walt Whitman PTA website and email blasted to our PTA members. The level of time required for each committee varies, so if you want to get involved, but aren’t sure what is best for your availability, we can help! Please feel free to contact us.
